FAQ

Questions, answered

Which words stay lowercase?

Articles, coordinating conjunctions, and short prepositions — the exact list depends on the style guide you pick. The first and last words of the title are always capitalized.

What is an AP title case converter?

AP Title Case capitalizes principal words and prepositions of four or more letters (Through, With). Chicago keeps a longer list of prepositions lowercase even when they are longer (through, with, between).

Does it know proper nouns?

After the style pass, a dictionary restores terms such as iPhone, JavaScript, NASA, and place names. Toggle smart casing off for a strict mechanical result.

Can I use this for blog titles?

Yes. Paste the draft title, pick the guide your publication uses, copy the result. For a friendlier tone, compare with Sentence case on the same paste.

How are hyphenated words treated?

Chicago-style paths capitalize each segment. AP keeps short trailing segments lowercase (Follow-up vs Follow-Up).
